Andrea Chapin’s paintings represent an amalgamation of all her artistic inclinations and her sense of humor. They are whimsical creations, consisting of a blend of acrylic colors and texturing materials to create a unique variation of impasto. Using a wide palette of colors, along with stencils and rubber stamps on wood panels, she has created works that immediately delight the eye. A love of children and motherhood inspire the majority of her works, but observations of everyday life also lend ideas for painting.

Andrea Chapin has been involved in artistic pursuits throughout her life, working as jewelry designer, metal sculptor, interior designer, and now painter. She has studied with many mentors throughout the years, in workshops and courses sponsored by Parsons School of Design, Museum of Fine Arts (Boston), Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, and DeCordova Museum. She has participated in exhibitions at Castle Hill and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum.
